Winter Inspiration Shoot

a bunch of lovely photos to share with you today from the winter inspiration shoot we were lucky enough to be a part of!

inspired by elements of Norse Mythology, this snowy winter shoot took place at The Outing Lodge in Stillwater - what a perfect location & perfect snowy day for this.

elements of wood, metal, moss & cotton were present throughout the day...with a wintry floral color palette of white, grey & black accents.  enjoy!

Hearten Magazine

hello all!  it's been awhile...Spring is upon us and we have been quite busy creating beautiful things in the studio.

i wanted to share the second issue of Hearten with you...the lovely online wedding magazine of the Twin Cities - published by the Independent Wedding Association.

 
Hearten is a delightful resource which celebrates the Midwest & highlights the inspirational work and creativity of passionate wedding experts in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.

this issue focused on everything Scandinavian!  we were happy to be a part of the snowy wedding inspiration photoshoot inspired by Norse Mythology.  wow!  this was a path we'd never been down before, but think it all turned out lovely thanks to Katrina of Studio Laguna Photography & all of the lovely collaboration that occurred with the creative team we had that day.

Magnolia Bakery

we happened upon a darling bakery while in Chicago a few months back.  so delicious & so inspiring!  Magnolia Bakery opened its first location on a cozy street corner in the heart of New York's West Village (401 Bleecker Street) in the summer of 1996.  they have since expanded their shops to include additional locations in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York & Dubai.

the décor has such charm & delightful colors!  a few photos from our visit:

at Magnolia Bakery, everything is made from scratch.  and, they are known for their banana pudding!  in addition, they have a monthly cupcake calendar with different flavors each day of the week.  this month = pistachio cake with pistachio meringue buttercream - yum!

for those of you planning a wedding or event, how about a cupcake tree or a dessert table?  they would be sure to add a sweet touch to any event.  stop by if you are in the neighborhood of a Magnolia Bakery sometime soon - you will not be disappointed!
