Magnolia Bakery

we happened upon a darling bakery while in Chicago a few months back.  so delicious & so inspiring!  Magnolia Bakery opened its first location on a cozy street corner in the heart of New York's West Village (401 Bleecker Street) in the summer of 1996.  they have since expanded their shops to include additional locations in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York & Dubai.

at Magnolia Bakery, everything is made from scratch.  and, they are known for their banana pudding!  in addition, they have a monthly cupcake calendar with different flavors each day of the week.  this month = pistachio cake with pistachio meringue buttercream - yum!
